SalonTarget® Executive Team
Anthony Masciarelli, Co Founder-Salon Owner
For over 35 years Anthony has owned and operated many successful businesses. His entrepreneurial skill and passion for inventive ideas propel him to success in every business he is involved with, from start to finish.
In 1984 — at the age of 21 — while attending Northeastern University, Anthony formed ANM Inc, DBA Paradise Cleaning Company. The company specialized in commercial cleaning services for restaurants, medical facilities and offices.
In 1993 Anthony and his wife Annemarie formed La Novita Inc., a salon & spa located in Randolph, Ma. The 1200 square foot salon opened with only 6 styling stations. Today, La Novita boasts over 4500 square feet and includes 16 styling stations, 5 treatment rooms and 4 manicure & pedicure stations. It is one of the largest privately owned salons in the country with over 30 employees and sales in excess of a million dollars.
La Novita has been recognized by the Paul Mitchell Company and awarded Focus Salon Status as one of the highest grossing retailers in the business. Anthony has earned recognition as a dynamic and passionate speaker and is frequently called upon by salon distributors to share his experience and creative ideas with other salon owners.
In 2005 Anthony introduced a revolutionary product to the salon industry. Drawing upon both his experience as a salon owner and irrepressible entrepreneurial nature, Anthony formed Mobile Color Systems Inc., and invented the Mobile Color System. The Mobile Color System was Anthony’s answer to what he saw as the stylist’s unnecessary and time-wasting practice of mixing hair color in a back room, where all of the color and mixing tools are stored, while the client waiting unattended in the chair. The Mobile Color System became a hair color delivery system for stylists — a specialized steel cart that stored a full line of color tubes, developers, brushes, bowls and gloves. It allowed stylists to mix and dispense hair color directly in front of the client at the chair, showing off the artistry, chemistry and skill involved with creating the perfect hair color — all while saving valuable time.
Anthony oversaw the design, engineering and manufacturing of The Mobile Color System, which quickly became a success in salons across the country. The timing couldn’t have been better, too. When the Mobile Color System was introduced, the industry was competing with the inexpensive and one-dimensional boxed hair colors sold in drug stores. These products directed consumers to “just add water,” which led people to believe that professional salons did the same. The Mobile Color System helped salon professionals shine a light on the respected and delicate practice of hair color mixing.
